Greenplast, one month before the opening, the final webinar previews one of the focus areas at the fair: Recovery of value from plastic wastes

The final event in the #Greenwebinar series will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, 5 and 6 April. The technical webinars have punctuated the lead-in to the first edition of GREENPLAST, the exhibition and conference dedicated to materials, technologies, and processes for converting plastics and rubber, organized by Promaplast srl. The wait is nearing an end with only one month before the gates open at Fiera Milano fairgrounds in Rho-Pero, which will host the event from the 3rd to the 6th of May.

The webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, 5 April at 10.30 in Italian and Wednesday, 6 April at 10.30 in English. It will be a bona fide teaser for GREENPLAST, addressing fundamental assets for the fair and strategic themes for the future: technologies for recovering value from plastic wastes, and energy savings. The themes will be developed through talks by two qualified, internationally recognized exhibitors, who will illustrate their most recent innovations. In parallel to recycling of postconsumer plastics, the concept of the circular economy also regards energy savings, one of the points that will be discussed by CMG Granulators spa. In the production phases, auxiliary equipment is certainly no less important than the core machinery, and Moretto has been engaged for years in developing solutions that make it possible to reduce the use of materials and energy from non-renewable resources. Visit the greenplast.org website for further details and registration.

After the webinar, which will be available online starting on Wednesday afternoon, 6 April, the spotlights will shift to the exhibition-conference itself. GREENPLAST represents the new international event for the most advanced solutions in the plastics sector as regards environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, and the circular economy. And Italian companies have been investing for years in these macro-areas, distinguishing themselves in the international arena for their ability to innovate.

And visitors will be able to discover low-environmental-impact industrial best practices also at PACKAGING SPEAKS GREEN, the international forum sharing the Milan fairgrounds in concomitance with GREENPLAST. This conference is dedicated to developing the culture of sustainability and the circular economy in the packaging and plastics sectors. A 4-day panoramic exhibition with leading international brands such as Alibaba, Ferrarelle, and Nestlé, teachers, researchers, institutions, and national and international consortia. PACKAGING SPEAKS GREEN will encompass virtuous examples from various areas, from trends in international legislation and financial support to green industrialization. Pharma, beauty & chemicals, plastics and recycling, and food & beverage are the industries that will be engaged in themes of relevance to all. In its third edition, the forum is organized with the support of AMAPLAST and UCIMA.

GREENPLAST will be held in parallel with Ipack-Ima (international exhibition for the packaging industry), Print4All (dedicated to commercial and industrial printing), Intralogistica Italia (systems for industrial materials handling, warehouse management, materials storage, and picking) and, for the first time in Milan, Pharmintech (processing, and packaging solutions for pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmeceutical). These events embody the logic of an integrated supply chain and are an important component of “The Innovation Alliance”.
