Naturally strong, the new monta paper adhesive tape

German adhesive tape manufacturer monta Klebebandwerk GmbH extends its sustainable Greenline range with another innovation: The new paper tape combines a reliable backing from sustainable forestry and an optimized, strong natural rubber adhesive.

Eco-friendly adhesive tapes made in Germany – this is what monta’s Greenline range stands for. The manufacturer now enlarges its established product range by a paper adhesive tape which provides an improved performance while saving valuable resources thanks to a more efficient product structure.

Its new, smoother carrier is made from chlorine-free (ECF) bleached pulp sourced from sustainable forestry. Coated at monta’s production site in Germany, with a new formula for natural rubber adhesive, this tape offers significantly higher immediate tack and adhesive strength values. Even when applied in a single layer, the new monta paper tape reliably seals light to medium heavy cardboard boxes. It is ideal for sealing mail bags, pouches, and cartons. Its low material usage reduces waste, saves money and time.

The new monta paper adhesive tape is free from silicone as well as synthetic plastics and can be recycled together with the carton. Thanks to these features, it is a strong and plastic-free alternative to filmic tapes enabling mono-material packaging solutions. When applied, it convinces with easy, low noise unwinding and is tearable by hand.

Reliable and versatile

After being applied at room temperature, the tape is temperature resistant up to 60°C short-term. Due to its good weatherability and moisture resistance, the new monta paper adhesive tape suits a multitude of applications. It is the perfect solution for packaging retailers, printers, industrial users, contract packers, office supplies, manufacturers of organic products, green e-commerce and anyone  attaching importance to mono-material packaging solutions and a natural look.

Additionally, the new monta paper adhesive tape also performs as a sustainable advertising medium thanks to its clear printing image, also with water-based ink. For particularly high-quality print results, it is available as monta 852 with a white adhesive on pure white paper.
