For the third consecutive time, monta Klebebandwerk GmbH was awarded the silver medal by ecovadis, the international rating platform for sustainability standards. Having achieved 68 points, the German manufacturer of self-adhesive tapes now ranks amongst the top 5% of all assessed companies in the sector “production of plastic goods”.
“Compared to the first assessment in 2020, we have gained a total of 14 points, confirming the success of our permanent efforts towards sustainability”, comments Daniel Lückfeldt, monta’s Managing Director.
The ecovadis rating covers four areas, in all of which monta is above the industry sector’s average. Regarding the category “environment”, the company achieved 80 points and belongs to the top 4% companies of the sector “production of plastic goods”. In comparison to the first rating, the Bavarian manufacturer improved by 20 points in this category. The same advancement was made in the category “sustainable procurement”. Concerning the topic “ethics”, monta achieved 70 points and belongs to the top 6% of the companies in its sector.
Sustainability has been deeply implemented in monta’s corporate policy for many years. Since 1996, the company has continuously held the ISO 14001 certificate for environmental management. Since 2015, it has been ISO 50001 certified for energy management. The environmental-friendly monta Greenline range, launched in 2019, has been carbon neutral by compensating unavoidable emissions since 2021.
