In 2 weeks K’25 will open, where Macchi will be showcasing an innovative 7 layer barrier line, capable of producing a barrier layer as thin as 4% of the overall structure, and today we have received confirmation of the sale of another 9 layer high barrier/high performance line to a “ NEW” Customer in China.
The sale is a direct consequence of the Open House staged by Macchi during the last ChinaPlas show in Shenzhen: over the two-day event, more than 50 Asian Customers had the opportunity to visit a Customer near Macao, and admire both a MACCHI 7 and a 9 layer running side by side producing high barrier film structures for export.
The visit has been so convincing that the new Customer decided to invest in a similar, high tech line, featuring 7 extruders 55/30 and 2 extruders 65/30, for a total productivity exceeding 600 kg/h.
The line, featuring a 3 m wide BO Plus winder, is completed with the well known Macchi carbon fibre air ring equipped with the Variocool profile adjustment system, a 4 components Doteco gravimetric dosing system, and all the year-long Macchi experience in barrier film extrusion, gained with almost 200 installations all over the world.
The line will be delivered during the second half of 2026, and represents a fantastic introduction to this year’s Macchi presence at the K show.
The Macchi booth, where it will be possible to see live demonstrations of the innovative 7 layer line, will be located in Hall 17, Booth C20.
