Live demonstrations, personal conversations and insights into the future: KOCH Demonstration Day 2026 showcased how modern robotics works today and highlighted the key trends shaping the automation of tomorrow.
Dernbach, July 9, 2026 – You can watch videos, compare technical specifications, and discuss automation concepts. Or you can stand right in front of a system, watch a robot in action, and understand within seconds what truly makes a great solution.
That was exactly the idea behind KOCH Demonstration Day on July 7, 2026, in Dernbach. Despite the holiday season, nearly 60 participants came together to experience robotic systems live and meet the people behind the solutions. New this year was the first ROBOTICS INSIGHTS TALK, featuring experts from ABB and KUKA, offering concise future-focused perspectives as part of a hands-on day of live demonstrations.
As in previous years, the focus was once again on live demonstrations of the latest test setups. Visitors were able to experience a variety of robotic systems designed for handling drums, hobbocks, cartons, sacks, and more, all based on real customer projects. The range of applications was broader than ever before: solutions from the converting, chemical, ceramics, and food industries highlighted just how diverse practical requirements can be and how individually modern automation must respond to them.
Whether packaging, palletizing, or intelligent product handling, attendees could watch live as robotic systems moved a wide variety of products safely, efficiently, and reliably. This direct connection to real-world applications is what makes KOCH Demonstration Day unique. Many questions are best answered where the technology is actually running: right at the system itself, in discussion with specialists from sales, engineering, plant design, and project management.
“Our Demonstration Days are about more than just showcasing solutions. A special highlight of the event was the first-ever ROBOTICS INSIGHTS TALK. Moderated by Thomas Theis, KOCH joined experts from ABB and KUKA to discuss the topics currently shaping robotics and the developments that are expected to influence the future of automation.
What role will artificial intelligence play in automation? Where can autonomous mobile robots provide meaningful support? And what potential do humanoid systems offer for industrial applications? The talk addressed these questions in a concise, accessible, and practical way, providing valuable insights, expert perspectives, and opportunities for discussion.
