KUHNE INTELLIGENCE: Shaping the Future of Extrusion at K 2025

Headed by the new owners, father & son duo Peter and Felix Kuhne, KUHNE Group is presenting itself at this year’s 2025 K-show. Under the slogan: ‘KUHNE INTELLIGENCE’, the German machinery manufacturer puts the focus on increasingly critical issues such as recyclability, sustainability, the saving of time and raw materials, as well as maintenance, flexibility, and automation. From October 8th to 15th, KUHNE invites present and future customers to witness all these developments in Hall 17, Booth A41.

KUHNE Anlagenbau will be presenting its unique 13-layer blown film head. The so-called Mo-con technology (pancake design) can resist process pressures of up to 1000 bar and is ideal for complex film structures, while at the same time being capable of working with all known types of resins. With a single line concept, the most diverse products can be produced, such as lid and shrink films, thermoforming films, lamination films, or even ready-to-use films. All 13 extruders have the same size, which underlines the flexible and intelligent line concept.

KUHNE Maschinenbau will be presenting a 7-layer lamella feedblock together with an automatic die with fast-changing capabilities and a NEO extruder. The intelligent approach here is the corresponding control unit. Interactive and AI-supported manuals as well as a new sub-menu on the HMI display with multiple ‘how-to’ tutorial movies.

KUHNE Group additionally invites visitors to test and interact with a holobox, where presentations about changeability, flexibility, energy recovery, and down-gauging will be shown. Furthermore, an NFC (near field communication) table will offer visitors modern and cool ways to learn about KUHNE’s automatic start-up, recipe change, and line stop processes. These line solutions become increasingly more important as finding skilled operators is a worldwide issue. A fifth info counter invites visitors to try out our Smart KUHNE glasses, a tool automatically supplied with each line for new customers for easy remote support and service.
